Chance to quiz local chiefs on healthcare
quiz: Coun Mick Titherington
Residents in South Ribble can quiz local health chiefs at a public meeting.
A panel of representatives from GPs and doctors’ surgeries, public health organisations, Lancashire County Council and South Ribble Council will answer questions, which will give residents a chance to find out how national changes to health care will affect them. They can also share their views, question panel members and outline their own priorities.
Coun Mick Titherington, who chairs South Ribble Council’s scrutiny committee, said: “With major changes being made to how the NHS is run, we have organised this public meeting to enable residents to find out what the changes will mean for them. Feedback from the meeting will be used to help shape development of local services.”
The meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 29, from 6pm, in the Shield Room at the Civic Centre, West Paddock, Leyland.
The panel will include Maggi Morris, director of public health for Central Lancashire, and Jan Ledward, chief officer for Chorley and South Ribble Clinical Commissioning Group.
