He might be more famous for his role in TV soap Emmerdale, but Bernard Wrigley is equally at home on stage.
'The Bolton Bullfrog' as he is known by those who have heard him speak, is back in Chorley by popular demand for his one-man show.

He will be at Chorley Little Theatre on Saturday, November 15, to perform his unique blend of songs, stories, monologues and guitar-playing drawing on his 40 years of experience in the folk music world.

As well as a singer and storyteller, Bernard, is an actor and a few years ago played Barry Clegg, the hapless rocket builder whose wife Lisa left him for Zak Dingle in Emmerdale, seven different characters over the years in Coronation Street, three episodes of Dinner Ladies, and played Dodgy Eric in Phoenix Nights.

He has written two books, 'Shorts for all Occasions', a collection of daft one verse poems in 2006, followed this year by his new one 'The Longs and the Shorts of It' and has recorded 15 CDs.

More recently he was in the production of 'Brassed Off' at Oldham's Coliseum Theatre, and this month he has played in an episode of 'Massive' on BBC3 and has recorded two plays for Radio 4.

Bernard's show at Chorley Little Theatre on November 15 is his third visit and tickets, priced £9, are available from Malcolm's MusicLand, Chapel Street, Chorley, on 01257 264362.
