Do you fancy coming face-to-face with Jack the Ripper? If the answer is no then you might want to give Botany Bay a miss later this month when it hosts several performances of 'Ripper's REVENGE!'.
The live action theatrical walk through horror experience will give the audience the chance to come face-to-face with Jack the Ripper himself.
'Ripper's REVENGE!' will be directed by Jason Karl, well known local television presenter and author who
se name is synonymous with all things that go bump in the night.
He said: "This is the first time we have featured historical characters in an attraction, with 'Sweeney Todd', 'Dick Turpin' and 'Mr Hyde' lurking in the shadows, audiences can be sure they will have a scream this Hallowe'en!"
Set on the ground floor of Botany Bay, the venue will be transformed into a theatrical version of Old London Town where rogues from fact and fiction walk the fog-filled alleyways and frightful fun lurks around every corner.
Audiences will walk through the guided experience, where they will encounter lighting, sound and tactile effects including strobes, theatrical smoke and live actors as they make their way from Buck's Row to Hanbury Street, through Newgate Gaol on to Fleet Street and finally into Old Whitechapel where an appointment with a certain man in black awaits them.
Those of a nervous disposition are advised not to enter the attraction, while children under 10 must be accompanied by an adult.
'Ripper's REVENGE!' at Botany Bay will open on four nights over Hallowe'en 2008 - Friday and Saturday, October 24 and 25, and Thursday and Friday, October 30 and 31, between 6.30pm–10.30pm in 15 minute intervals. Tickets are £10 per person.
Advance ticket booking is essential. Call 01257 231687 to book.
