Leyland man on robbery charge

A man has appeared in court accused of the attempted robbery of a Leyland off-licence.
Andrew Christopher Tomlinson, 23, of no fixed abode, has been charged with attempted robbery of Susan Harris at Booze Brothers on Chapel Brow on August 17.

He is also charged with possessing an imitation firearm.

Tomlinson appeared at Chorley Magistrates Court and was remanded in custody until his next appearance at Preston Crown Court on January 19, 2009.
