Six gorgeous girls have made the shortlist for our first ever Miss Guardian competition.
The shortlist has been drawn up solely on the number of votes cast by readers.
Last month the Guardian published an eight-page supplement of 72 girls and young women and more than 400 voting coupons were received - with these six getting the most votes.
In no particular order the girls that gained the most votes were Nikki Evans, 15; Jenny Hodge, 13; Laura Chisnell, 15; Charlotte Smith, 17; Rebecca Jolly, 19; and Kelly Marie Howlett, 16.
The competition is sponsored by one of Chorley's newest shops, The Beauty Box, in 39 Chapel Street, who have agreed to provide a £50 gift voucher to the winner.
The prize is in addition to the complete studio sitting, a set of preview prints and a modern framed 20x16 portrait worth £360 that has been offered by Chorley-based Studio Twelve Photography and a £100 hairstyle being provided by Gallery Hair Technicians, in High Street.
Guardian editor Chris Maguire said: "It will be difficult to pick a winner."
