A museum is set to roll out the beer barrels for a double celebration.

The Leyland Beer Festival is back and the bunting will be out to celebrate Easter and the Royal Wedding.

The event will be held at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum over the Easter weekend, from Friday 22 to Monday 25 April.

There will be more than 40 real ales and beers, continental lagers, ciders, wines from around the world and free non-alcoholic drinks for drivers.

Entry is £4 in advance or £5 on the day, which includes a beer and wine guide/programme and a commemorative pint glass. To book call 01772 421491. Proceeds from the event will be donated to local charities.

Coun Phil Smith, cabinet member with responsibility for regeneration, leisure and healthy communities, said: “Beer festivals tend to attract responsible drinkers who enjoy sampling a range of ales, and that has certainly been the case in our experience.”
