A Leyland actress has stepped in to help raffle off a wedding dress for charity.
Former Balshaw’s High School pupil Tisha Merry, who in her latest role starred as Poppy in BBC drama 32 Brinkburn Street, modelled the dress for the Infant Feeding Trust charity shop on Hough Lane.
The gown and matching tiara, worth more than £1,000, will be raffled off for one lucky bride, to to raise funds for the shop.
Elaine Jackson, chair of the Infant Feeding Trust, said: “Actress Melanie Ash, who plays Colleen King in Emmerdale, has become a stalwart supporter of our charity since its inception, and she very kindly introduced Tisha Merry to us.
“We are delighted that Tisha also wishes to support us by modelling this fairytale dress, and we can’t wait to see her on our screens again in the future.”
Tickets can be bought from the shop on Hough Lane for £5. The draw will take place on May 14 and tickets will be available until May 13.
