A night-time raid on a Leyland home uncovered 10 cannabis plants in an upstairs bedroom.
Five officers from the South Ribble Response Team swooped on an address in Hillbrook Road at 8pm on August 17.
The officers executed a warrant under the Misuse of Drugs Act and were acting on tip-offs about possible drugs in the property. A search of the home found 10 five foot tall plants and hydroponic equipment used to cultivate the plants, including lights and extractor fans.
Sgt Michael Porter of Leyland Police said: “This result should hopefully act as a deterrent to others and serve as a reminder that if you try and cultivate drugs, you will be caught.
“We rely on information given to us by the public and would encourage anyone who has information about drug activity in their community to contact us on 0845 1253545.”
John Hill, 35, of Hillbrook Road, pleaded guilty to possession of cannabis with intent to supply and producing a quantity of cannabis when he appeared at South Ribble Magistrates Court on Thursday. He was given a 12 month community order and ordered to pay court costs of £85.
