Bus company Stagecoach has announced that it will be increasing the frequency of its popular 109 service.
The 109 operates between Chorley and Preston via Buckshaw Village, Leyland, Lostock Hall and Walton Park.
The service, which formerly ran twice an hour, will now run every 20 minutes, Monday to Saturday.
The service will still run hourly on evenings and Sundays.
Elisabeth Tasker, managing director at Stagecoach, said: “This is a popular route for people living in the local area and we’re very pleased to be increasing the frequency of our Chorley to Preston service and connecting communities by helping people to get about more easily and efficiently.”
Under the raft of changes, Stagecoach will also be offering additional peak trips to cover school and college and commuter journeys.
