Police in Lancashire will be visiting stores throughout South Ribble this week to offer top tips on keeping your vehicle safe.
Officers will be offering car crime prevention advice at supermarkets in Bamber Bridge, Penwortham, Walton-Le Dale and Leyland during both the morning and afternoon.
The move comes after a spate of vehicle crime in the district which has predominantly involved unsecure and unlocked cars.
The venues and dates are as follows
Wednesday - 10.00-12.00 B&Q South Rings and 15.00-17.00 Morrisons Leyland
Thursday - 10.00-12.00 Sainsbury’s Bamber Bridge
Friday - 10.00-12.00 Tesco Leyland Lane and 18.00-20.00 Tesco Capital Centre
Saturday - 11.00-13.00 Waitrose Capital Centre and Tesco Towngate
Inspector Steve Evans, of Southern Division, said: “We hope to talk to as many people as possible at the stores to really push the message that keeping car secured and valuables out of sight is essential to good car crime prevention.”
