Police have this week released CCTV footage showing missing teenager Anthony Stubbs on the streets of Leyland.
Unfortunately, they still do not have any indication of Anthony’s whereabouts, as the images were taken in the town on the day he went missing.
Anthony, 16, left his house in Leyland Lane just before 1pm on Sunday, November 25.
He intended to go to his mother Denise Machin’s address in nearby Southbrook Road, but never arrived.
The last confirmed sighting of the Wellfield Business and Enterprise College pupil was near to the Seven Stars pub in Leyland Lane at around 12.55pm, which is what the CCTV footage shows.
Now, his emotional mum has begged her eldest son, who has a baby daughter himself, to come home for Christmas.
She said: “Christmas is a time for family and all I want is for Anthony to come home.
“It is his daughter Lily’s first Christmas and his little brother Oscar is missing him.
“He should be here to celebrate with his family.
“Having Anthony back would be the best Christmas present ever.
“I am not angry with him – I just want him back.
“Please just come home.”
Anthony has also left his sister Jodie, 15, as well as Oscar, three, who are missing the brother they looked up to.
Detective Inspector John Entwisle, from Leyland police, said: “Anthony has not made any contact with either his friends or family which is very much out of character.
“He has a three-month-old baby at home who we know he must miss and our main aim is to locate Anthony safe and well and bring him home to his family for Christmas.
“I would urge anyone who thinks they may have seen Anthony or might know where he is to come forward and contact police.”
Speaking earlier this month, detectives said they wanted Anthony to know there was support for him at home and that he was not in any kind of trouble.
He added: “Anthony has connections to the gay community and I would ask that anyone who thinks they may know where Anthony is or if you are with him, maybe looking after him, please come forward – both the police and his family just need to know he is safe.”
Anthony is described as slim, around 5ft 9ins tall, with blue eyes. He is clean shaven.
His natural hair colour is mousey brown, although he dyes it black, which is usually worn with a swept fringe to the right or flicked up at the front.
He wears braces on his teeth and has a pierced left ear in which he wears a stud or a cross.
When he was last seen he was wearing blue jeans with a blue and black jacket and light brown boots and was carrying a black and blue messenger type shoulder bag.
Anthony has connections to the Manchester, Bolton and Blackpool areas.
Anyone with information should call police on 101.
