A 71-year-old has been fined for breaking the speed limit. Michael William Dagnall, from Back Lane, Heath Charnock, pleaded guilty to driving faster than the 30mph limit on the A6 Shepherds Way. He was fined £35, made to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £85, and saw three points added to his licence.

A man has been fined £200 for driving on the motorway without the relevant licence. The case of 35-year-old Mathew Jon Clarke, from Devonshire Road, Chorley, was proved in his absence. He must also pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

A man who drove faster than the 30mph speed limit has seen three points added to his licence. Josh Mears, 24, from Pilling Lane, Chorley, was fined £200. The case was proved in his absence, and he must also pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.

A 35-year-old woman has been disqualified from driving for 12 months after pleading guilty to drink driving. Nicola Atkinson, from Kings Street, Lostock Hall was stopped by police on April 25 on Preston New Road, Chorley. She was fined £110 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 in costs.

A man has been fined £50 for being in breach of a drinking banning order. The case of Andrew Lord, 52, of Halliwell Street, Chorley was proved in his absence. He must also pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

A 33-year-old Leyland woman has been issued six points and fined £75 for speeding. Emma Hughes, from Nixon’s Court, Leyland, pleaded guilty to driving faster than the 30mph limit on Church Street/A577 Parliament Street, and Grove Road Up Holland.

A man has been fined £135 for breaking the temporary 50mph maximum speed limit on the M6 motorway. Michael Heyworth, 33, of Burwell Avenue, Chorley, was fined £135, made to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £85, and issued three points to his licence.

A woman was fined £155 for speeding on the B6229 Harpers Lane in Chorley. Beverley Lockley, 44, of Bury Lane, Chorley, has also had to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 court costs

A 38-year-old man has been fined £200 for threatening and disorderly behaviour. John Norris, of The Avenue, Chorley, was also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.

A Leyland man has been given a 12 week prison sentence after pleading guilty to drink driving. 25-year-old Michael Fortune, Dunkirk Lane, Leyland was ordered to pay £300 compensation, a victim surcharge of £80 and £150 court costs. He was also disqulaified from driving for 36 months.
