Here is a summary of cases heard at Chorley Magistrates' Court.

Simon Scriven, 48, of Conway Close, Euxton, admitted driving whilst under the influence of alcohol and without valid insurance when he appeared at Chorley Magistrates’ Court.

He was ordered to comply with a drug rehabilitation programme and fined £120. He also had to pay £85 court costs and £85 victim surcharge. His driving record was endorsed with six points.

The offence happened in Botany Brown on January 16.

Lee Stanley Stock, 41, of Preston Road, Charnock Richard, admitted stealing a car and driving without valid insurance when he appeared at Chorley Magistrates’ Court.

He was put under a community order with a curfew and his driving record was endorsed with six points. The offence happened on December 27.

Susan Jane Knowles, 45, of Carrington Road, Adlington, was given a community order for four counts of theft, when she appeared at Chorley Magistrates’ Court. She stole six bottles of vodka, a bottle of Jack Daniels and meat from Booths between December 27 and January 7. She was also ordered to pay £189 compensation and a £10 fine.

Stuart James Anwyl, 44, of The Common, Adlington, was fined £100 by Chorley magistrates for driving at a speed exceeding the legal 30mph.

He was also ordered to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. The offence happened in Bengal Street on April 12 last year.

Yucel Ustundag, 43, of Chapel Lane, Coppull, was fined £315 for driving without valid insurance when he appeared at Chorley Magistrates’ Court. He also had to pay £32 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. The offence happened on June 11 last year. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for six months and his record was endorsed with six points.
