Denis Albert Bruney, 48, of Hazelmere Avenue, Buckshaw Village, was fined £130 by Chorley magistrates for driving without due care and attention and driving at a speed exceeding the legal 70mph. The offence occurred on the M6 Toll in Lichfield on May 2. He also had to pay £31 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 56 days and his driving record was endorsed.
Leon Kemp, Beaconsfield Terrace, Chorley, was fined £660 by Chorley magistrates for driving along Eaves Lane without valid licence, insurance and an MOT test certificate. He also had to pay victim surcharge of £66 and £85 court costs. He was disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 12 months and his driving record was endorsed with eight penalty points.
Charles William Newsham, 66, of The Washbowl, Pall Mall, Chorley, was given a conditional discharge for 12 months for stealing food worth £111 from Asda, in Chorley on July 29. Chorley magistrates also ordered him to pay £20 victim surcharge and £150 court costs.
Lindsey Bannister, 38, of Moor Road, Chorley, was fined £660 by Preston magistrates for driving along Pall Mall without a valid licence or insurance. The offence happened on May 17. She also had to pay £66 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Her driving record was endorsed with six
Katie Hodges, 32, of Ayrshire Close, Buckshaw Village,admitted driving along Chorley Road at a speed exceeding more than the legal 30mph when she appeared at Preston Magistrates’ Court. She was fined £169 and had to pay £30 victim surcharge and £85 court costs. Her driving record endorsed with four points. The offence happened on May 19.
