1 What appealed to you most about the property?
This was our first home and we were thrilled to find somewhere with a garden and in a nice quiet area of Lostock Hall.
Being at the end of the cul-de-sac is very peaceful.
2 How long have you lived in the property?
We have lived here for coming up exactly five years – our daughter was born a couple of months after we moved in so all of the memories are of her growing up – her first steps – her first words – playing football in the garden and just becoming the girl she is.
3 What have you done to the house since moving into the property?
Since moving to the property, we have had new windows and doors installed to make a huge difference in the now very cold winter months. We also had cavity wall insulation. We have put laminate flooring in all rooms downstairs while we decided on carpet for the bedrooms.
4 Why are you selling?
We are selling due to the fact that we have simply outgrown the house, as our daughter has grown and our work needs have also grown, we now need somewhere bigger.
5 What is your favourite room and why?
Probably the kitchen – I love to cook and it has ample room for preparing meals and then sitting down to eat as a family around the kitchen table. We especially love having friends and relatives come round and entertaining them.
Also, our favourite feature of the house is in the kitchen – this is the stable door which leads to the patio and garden – in the summer months, it is lovely to have the top half of the door either tilted or open to let the breeze in.
6 What will you miss most about moving?
We will definitely miss how quiet it is in the house, the cul-de-sac location is ideal with no road noise.
We will also miss the fact that the street is very much becoming a family street, with a number of the houses now having children who do enjoy seeing each other.
7 How close are the amenities?
Many things you could want are a short walk away – everything from hairdressers, local Spar, atm, children’s park to KFC, Chinese and Indian takeaways and the best fish and chip shop!
These are no more than a five minute walk – Preston centre is only a short drive away but we find ourselves mainly going into Leyland which is seven minutes in the car and has pretty much all we need.
8 To whom would this property be best suited?
This property is ideally suited to first time buyers who were possibly looking at a mid terrace because now, as well as being an end terrace with a drive – you also have the relatively large garden as a bonus feature.
