North West couple, Norman and Olive May, are enjoying a double celebration, having moved into their stylish new David Wilson Homes apartment and recently receiving some uplifting news, following a difficult period for the family.
Olive explains: “Norman and I were out walking one afternoon and in a spur of the moment decision we decided to visit one of their new canal side developments.
“We got talking to the sales adviser, Lisa, and absolutely fell in love with the location – it was meant to be!
“I couldn’t sleep that night through excitement and the very next day we came back and reserved a top floor apartment with a balcony overlooking the water.”
However, shortly after reserving the plot, Olive was diagnosed with breast cancer and began chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Olive continues: “With the sale of our existing property going through and our new apartment taking shape, there was a lot going on to distract me during this incredibly traumatic time.
“Having been diagnosed, I went to speak to Lisa who was a tower of strength and support.
“She told me not to worry about anything and put me at ease.
“Seeing our new home progress through the building stages helped me through my recovery and gave me something to look forward to.
“I couldn’t wait to get the keys!”
Norman and Olive moved into their property at the end of May and shortly after this move they received some very encouraging news.
Norman continues: “Olive has now finished her treatment and having received some great results she has been given the all clear on checkups for a whole year.
“We cannot thank Lisa enough for her support, we were never put under any pressure and we are now very happy in our new home.”
Lisa Seton, Sales Adviser for David Wilson Homes North West, adds: “Norman and Olive and truly wonderful people and have been a pleasure to work with.
“It has been an emotional roller coaster for all of us and I have found Olive’s positivity through such a difficult time to be inspirational.
