Medium aims to challenge sceptics

From things that go bump in the night to unexplained sights and sounds, we all have a hunger for the paranormal. And residents of Chorley will get their fill this month when a famous medium comes to town.

Audiences will be able to discover for themselves why Stephen Holbrook is regarded by many as Britain's most gifted clairaudient medium.

His 2009 nationwide tour will take him to towns and cities across the UK, and after a successful tour of the USA and the Caribbean, Steve is looking forward to being back on home soil.

He brings his powers to Chorley when he appears for one night only at Shaw Hill Golf and Country Club on Friday June 19. And he wants both sceptics and believers to go along.

The former hairdresser, who downed scissors to pursue his spiritualist dream, said: "Audiences can expect to be gobsmacked and blown away by what I do. Any sceptics can expect to go away uncomfortably challenged."

Stephen has reunited families with loved ones, helped out on crime investigations, and even forecast singer Jane McDonald's rise to fame.

He claims his first experience of contact with the other side was when he was nine years of age. He awoke during the night to see his hospitalised grandfather at the foot of his bed saying goodbye. He discovered the following morning that the old man had passed away at the exact same time he saw him.

"I'm like a giant telephone exchange between this world and the spirit world," he said. "People may be sitting around the next world trying to get through. I hear voices which are sometimes in my head and sometimes as if a person is standing next to me whispering in my ear."

Steve explains all about his life in three biographies 'Light in the Darkness', 'Out of this World', and the latest called 'Survival', all of which will be available to purchase at our event.

If you would like to purchase tickets to see Stephen Holbrook at Shaw Hill Golf and Country Club, Preston Road, Whittle le Woods, Chorley, PR6 7PP on Friday June 19, ring on 01772 554559 and have a debit/credit card to hand, or you can pay on the door on the night, subject to availability. Tickets are priced at just 13 and doors open 7pm.
