Brides-to-be are in for a real treat as a church prepares for its second bridal fayre.
After the success of last year’s event, St Mary’s Church, in Eccleston, is planning to host a fayre that caters to every engaged woman’s dreams.
It will take place on May 13 from 2pm-5pm, and will include a variety of stalls.
From details of flowers, to cakes, to jewellery, to stationery, the event will cover it all.
There will also be make-up demonstrations, as well as details of singers, photographers, DJs and toastmasters.
A ‘Brides Gallery’ catwalk is set to take place on a set-up stage at 3.30pm, which will include a selection of around 30 dresses.
Gill Jamieson, one of the fayre’s organisers, said: “The fayre last year was excellent - it looked beautiful. It was full and the exhibitioners had quite a bit of feedback from it.
“There are 17 weddings booked in church this year.
“People can see what a church wedding looks like, and we try to do as much locally as we can.
“We do it to showcase local firms and to encourage a fresh expression of weddings.”
Entrance costs £1 and people are free to turn up on the day. Refreshments are included in the price.
