Have your say

A Labour supporter has gone to extreme measures to show their support for the party in Leyland – by vandalising a wall in the town centre.

Spray paint which reads “Vote Labour” could be seen on a wall on Meadow Street, off Hough Lane, over the weekend.

South Ribble’s Labour leader, Coun Matthew Tomlinson, said: “Obviously we don’t condone this sort of behaviour in any way and I must say I would be very shocked if it was someone actually connected to the Labour Party locally who has done this.

“In a way though, it’s nice to see that people are taking an interest in the upcoming elections.

“It would appear our message must be getting across to somebody.”

Round the corner, on Thurston Road, similar sprawlings read “Don’t buy the Sun” in capital letters.
