The Leyland Guardian will be at the town’s annual Beer and Wine Festival on Friday.

Reporter Kay Taylor wants to meet Leyland residents to find out what’s happening in their areas, from problems with potholes to charity fundraising events.

She will be at the British Commercial Vehicle Museum between 3pm and 5pm.

Also at the popular event will be the chance for Leylanders to name the new beer being produced especially for this year’s Preston Guild.

The new beverage will be on offer throughout the festival, which runs from midday until 11pm, Thursday to Sunday, at the King Street museum.

Hart Brewery, Preston’s only brewery, is launching the celebratory Preston Guild beer at this weekend’s event.

Museum volunteer Graham Preston said: “We want people to try the beer, taste it and then let us know what it should be called.

“We want a name that represents the spirit of the Guild and the flavour of the beer.”
