A Leyland hairdresser couldn’t believe her eyes when she turned up for work and found her entrance ‘bricked up’ and the entire shop front covered by a fence.
Cy Marshall also found thugs had ripped her letter box off and stuffed broken glass, bricks and debris from a nearby building site into her business on Chapel Brow.
The attack took place on Maison Cy Hair Studio on Thursday night and has Cy fearing her business had been deliberately attacked.
“I was so shocked and upset,” she said. “I just thought ‘why me?’
“I started to worry that I must have done something to annoy someone, why would they target me otherwise?
“But I don’t think I have done anything wrong.”
She added: “I had to open late on Friday morning because I couldn’t get into my shop.
“I had to clean to mess up myself, and move the heavy blocks out of the way.”
Cy carried the concrete boulders across the road to the building site at the former Shadh Indian takeaway, which closed nearly two years ago.
The problems started when a sewer collapsed in July 2009, and the takeaway building suffered major structural damage and had to shut.
Now, Cy and her husband James have doubts over the safety of Chapel Brow.
