Taylor’s sentence will be served consecutive to an existing sentence.

The pair took a 20-year-old man at gunpoint against his will from a property on Dunkirk Lane in Leyland on the evening of April 12 last year.

The victim was taken in a vehicle and subjected to a number of violent physical threats before being let out.

Det Insp Marc Nasser, of Leyland CID, said: “We treat all gun crime seriously and will pursue every lead to ensure armed offenders are caught and brought to justice.”

They both pleaded guilty to possession of an imitation firearm to cause fear of violence and false imprisonment.
