The family of a Leyland man who was stabbed to death is putting together a book of memories as a tribute to him.
Kevin Rogers, 23, was killed during a house party on New Year’s Eve, 2009.
A police investigation and crown court trial failed to see anybody convicted over his death, but his mum Helen said she will not rest until she finds justice.
And she said next year the family hoped to build a book of friends’ stories about her son, to keep his memory alive.
Helen, 44, said: “It’s just hard every day. I get up and I’ve got to find a way to get through the day and cope with it as best I can.
“He was just on the cusp of his life and of making decisions. He was probably at the happiest he had ever been and it seems so cruel.”
Helen is also appealing to anyone who has any information about the night in question to come forward.
Kevin was killed with one stab wound to the back and died where he fell next to a row of cars on Edgehill Crescent.
Susan Kenny, of Manor House Close, was charged with his murder but was cleared after a trial at Preston Crown Court in June, 2010.
Helen said: “We are appealing for any little information, no matter how small someone thinks it is.”
