This week’s Leyland court listings.

A drink-driver has been fined £110 and has been disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 17 months. Kieran John Haworth, 24, from North Road, Bretherton, pleaded guilty. He was also ordered to pay a victim surcharge of £20, costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, and a criminal courts charge of £150. His driving ban will be reduced by 17 weeks if he completes a course by September 2016.

A woman who broke a 30mph speed limit has been fined £40. Cheryl Dawes, 32, from Dunkirk Lane, Leyland, pleaded guilty, and also had three points added to her licence. She must also pay a victim surcharge of £20 and costs of £85.

A driver has been fined £145 after confessing to driving faster than a 30mph speed limit. Sarah-Jane Downing, 42, from Cuerden Avenue, Leyland, also had four points added to her licence. She was ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

A speeding driver has been handed a £440 fine. The case of 26-year-old Siobhan Carole Gough, from Alder Close, Leyland, was proved in her absence. Four points were added to her licence, and she must also pay a victim surcharge of £44, and costs of £85.

A man has been fined £660 after failing to give information to police about a driver alleged to have committed an offence. The case of Jack Draper, 38, from Farington Gate, Leyland, was proved in his absence. Six points were added to his driving licence, and he was also ordered pay victim surcharge of £66 and £85 in costs.

A woman has admitted to driving faster than a 30mph speed limit. Rebecca Averall, 30, from Muirfield Close, Euxton, was fined £135 and saw three points added to her licence. She must also pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 in court costs.

A man has been fined £60 after breaking a 30mph speed limit. Karl Andrew Roberts, 47, from Hillside Crescent, Whittle-le-Woods, pleaded guilty, and three points were added to his licence. He must also pay a victim surcharge of £20 and pay costs of £85.
