Two music festivals are set to take place in Penwortham and Leyland this year, following on from successes in 2012.
Nigel Stewart, who lives in Penwortham and organised the smash-hit Leyland Live event to coincide with the Leyland Festival weekend last July, has decided to stage a similar event in his hometown – and will also be returning to Leyland.
The two events will involve a number of singers and bands performing in venues across the towns, such as pubs, restaurants, cafes and bars, over a few nights.
Penwortham Live is scheduled for April 12 and 13.
And Leyland Live is set for the weekend of July 5 and 6, (this year’s Leyland Festival is on June 15).
Nigel hopes that even more acts and venues will get on board than last year, so the event is bigger and better than ever.
Wristbands will cost £5 for each event, and allow access to all venues taking part on both nights.
