Leyland man assaulted

Police are appealing for information after a man was assaulted as he walked home from work.

At around 7:30pm, last Wednesday on the 5th of January, the 21-year-old was walking along Centurion Way in Leyland when he was approached by two men.

They pulled him to the floor, kicking him and stamping on his head before running away. Fortunately, the victim only sustained minor injuries.

The victim's rucksack which was pulled from his back during the assault was thrown into a nearby field but was later recovered by police.

The two men were described as being between five feet, six inches and five feet, nine inches tall, of medium build and were both wearing army style, camouflage clothing and balaclavas.
