Police have released CCTV footage of a man they think could have committed a burglary at Runshaw College in Leyland.

A man was seen during the early hours of Tuesday, May 6, in the grounds of the Langdale Road campus, when someone broke into one of the buildings and stole two radiators.

Police believe the same man was caught on camera during the day at the college, and are appealing for him or other witnesses to come forward.

A spokesman said: “The CCTV footage shows a man seen during daylight hours which are almost identical to those taken of a man during darkness, who was within the grounds of Runshaw College just prior to the activation of an alarm.

“A boiler house door was found to have been forced open and two radiators were stolen.

“At this time there is no evidence to link the man seen on CCTV to the offence, but we would like to question him.”

The incident happened between midnight and 12.30am.

Anyone with information can contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 55 111, quoting the reference number LC-20140506-0219.
