Cannabis found at Penwortham homes

Multiple cannabis plants have been found at two addresses in Penwortham following raids by the police.

A total of 15 plants were found at homes on Smalley Croft and Moss Acre Road with an estimated street value of £330.

Two men, aged 52 and 24, both of Penwortham, were issued with adult cautions following the raids.

The actions follow another adult caution for a man, aged 21 and of no fixed abode, for cannabis possession following an arrest on Yates Street in Chorley on Wednesday.

Inspector Steve Evans, Geographic Inspector for South Ribble, said: “The intelligence leading to the Penwortham arrests came from an anonymous member of the public and I would like to personally thank them for their efforts.

“This shows that we can take decisive action when given tip-offs by members of the community. Any information given to the constabulary is in complete confidence and something which form an important part of our policing tactics.”
