Police are appealing for help to find a man who allegedly exposed himself on a train.

Officers from British Transport Police (BTP) are investigating an incident that happened shortly after 6am on Saturday, June 7.

Det Con Chris Biggs said: “A man boarded a TransPennine Express service at Manchester Oxford Road and sat opposite a woman who was already on the train.

“During the journey the man was seen to expose himself, before leaving the train, possibly at Buckshaw Parkway.

“The woman reported the incident to the train guard, who subsequently alerted BTP, but the man had run from the station before officers could arrive.”

Afterwards, officers carried out a number of enquiries and have now released this CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to about the incident.

DC Biggs added: “I am confident the man in the CCTV image will have key information about the incident and ask anyone who recognises him to come forward.

“I would also like to hear from anyone who may have other information about the incident.”

Anyone with information is asked to call BTP on 0800 40 50 40 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111, quoting log PSUB/B7 on July 15.
