Hundreds of rubber ducks were tossed into the River Lostock alongside Western Drive, Leyland, yesterday.
It was another great turnout for the Rotary Club’s annual duck race, which sees hundreds of people sponsor a rubber duck for a good cause.
There were four races in total throughout the afternoon, as well as fun stalls, refreshments, and an ice cream stand for families to enjoy.
The Mayor of South Ribble, Coun Dorothy Gardner, officially launched the first race at noon, and St John Ambulance volunteers were also special guests at the event.
This year’s duck race was held in aid of the Rosemere Cancer Foundation and Cancer Research UK, Leyland Branch.
Winners of the races and the amount of money raised will be announced soon.
