Family's tribute to 'angel' Aimee
THE family of a 13-year-old girl who was found hanged at her home in Leyland have paid tribute.
Aimee Critchley, who was a pupil at All Hallows High School, Penwortham, was found in her bedroom by her mother on Monday evening.
She was taken to Royal Preston Hospital but was sadly pronounced dead a short time later.
Her family said: "We are completely devastated by the untimely death of our wonderful daughter Aimee. She was a much loved daughter, sister and granddaughter who gave us so much joy.
"Aimee was a very talented dancer and enjoyed art and poetry; she was also an outstanding school pupil.
"We are extremely proud of the person that Aimee was and know that she will now be in heaven with the other angels having earned her wings in life.
"We appreciate all the kind tributes and gestures, which show how many people loved her and is a great comfort to us.
"We ask that we are now left to grieve in peace at this very difficult time."
Aimee's mum, Vicky, added a personal message to Aimee: "Sleep well my angel."
