Leyland-based Progress Housing Group has secured £2.1m from the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA) to deliver 80 affordable homes across South Ribble, Preston, Chorley and St Annes, with 17 of them set for Leylannd.

The funding is part of the first phase of the Government’s Affordable Housing Programme, which aims to deliver 165,000 new affordable homes in England over three years from 2015.

Progress Housing Group will work in partnership with local authorities to deliver the new homes, with suitable sites already identified across
Lancashire.

This latest allocation is in addition to the Group’s £23m development programme for the current financial year.

Chief executive Jacqui De Rose, said: “This is great news for Progress Housing Group; we’re delighted with this £2.
