Gold for ‘hero’ Wiggins

CHORLEY cycling sensation Bradley Wiggins won the gold medal in the cycling time trial at the London Olympics this afternoon.
Tour de France winner Wiggins, who lives in Eccleston, became the most decorated Olympian in British history, with a total of seven medals.
Prime Minister David Cameron tweeted that Wiggins was “a true British hero”.
It was the UK’s second gold of the Games after Helen Glover and Heather Stanning rowed to victory.
