Moss Side’s Post Office is the latest in Leyland to be given a refurbishment - and is now open until 10pm each night.
In March, the Post Office on Church Road re-opened after a revamp, and the one on Hough Lane was last week relocated to a bigger premise on the high street, in the former Hyde’s toy shop.
The company has now also given the one on Dunkirk Lane a similar facelift, creating an open-plan branch with longer opening hours.
Post Office area manager Alan Currie said: “We understand how important having a Post Office is to residents in this area of Leyland and we are confident that this new modern Post Office service will meet the needs of the local community and secure services for the future.
“This modernisation is part of a major investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office and marks a commitment to no more branch closure programmes.”
Customers will benefit from opening hours being extended to 105 hours a week in Moss Side, as the new branch is open from 7am to 10pm Monday to Sunday.
The new Hough Lane Post Office is open from 9am until 5.30pm Monday to Friday, with selected products and services available from the retail counter during shop opening hours; 8.30am to 6pm Monday to Friday, and 8.30am to 5.30pm on Saturdays.
