Robbers caught on CCTV

Police have released CCTV images of the moment a man entered a Bamber Bridge store and threatened a shopkeeper with a knife.

The incident happened at the Premier Store on Station Road at around 9.45pm on Valentines Day.

CCTV footage shows a man. wearing a distinctive black jacket and big black gloves, entering the store and threatening the young cashier before making of with 80.

No one was hurt.

Det Con Phil Grover from Leyland CID said: "I would appeal for anybody who was in the area and may have spotted something to come forward and contact us.

"The offender was wearing quite a distinctive jacket and I would appeal for anyone who saw him enter or leave the premises to get in touch.

"Luckily nobody was hurt but the cashier has understandably been left shaken following the incident."
