It snowed at Christmas in 2010
The MET office has warned it could snow in the region today.
A spokesman said: “Showers, sleet and snow are expected to develop quite widely across the region through the day.
“Where snow has settled or partially thawed or surfaces remain wet into this evening, watch out for ice on Saturday morning on any untreated surfaces with temperatures expected to drop below zero in many parts tonight.”
