Takeaway set to be re-built

Plans to re-build a fast food takeaway in Leyland town centre have been given the go-ahead.
The former Shadh Indian takeaway in Chapel Brow has now been demolished after years of crumbling following a sewer collapse beneath it in 2009.
South Ribble Council has approved plans to replace the building with a new takeaway and offices.
Ronald Gonshaw, from Gonshaw Associates which is the agent for applicant Badrul Pervaiz, said: “My client is quite determined to see this through, and he wants to make quite an impression on the high street.
“The new takeaway is very forward-looking and attractive, so it will be a very big plus for Leyland.
“He was interested not in a repetition of the former takeaway, but in enhancing the street-scene with a new look.”
