Police are trying to trace a man who exposed himself to a 16-year-old jogger in Leyland.

The teenage victim was out running along Leyland Lane at around 2.30pm on Saturday, November 23, when he came across a group of two men and a woman, who were in the street shouting and swearing.

To avoid the group, he crossed the road but as he did, one of the men deliberately followed him, crossing over to the same side of the road, dropping his tracksuit bottoms and exposing himself to the teenager, laughing as he did so before running back over to the group.

Police are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area at the time and might have seen anything suspicious to come forward.

PC Emma Devereux said: “This was very distressing for the victim and we are very keen to speak to any witnesses to come forward to help us catch the man responsible.

“I’d also ask people to think carefully about the group’s description and to call us if they think they know who they are, who the offender is or if they have any other information that could be useful to us.”

The man that exposed himself is described as white, of slim build and around six feet four inches tall with short, black spiked hair.

He was wearing a black puffa jacket and grey tracksuit bottoms.

The other man in the group has been described as white and he was wearing a black and silver sleeveless jacket with a white hooded top underneath and grey tracksuit pants.

The woman in the group is described as white and she has dark hair with red streaks through it, tied up in a ponytail with a full face of makeup and she was wearing a black and pink cagoule with black trousers.

Information about this can be passed to Lancashire Police on 101.

Alternatively, people with information can also contact the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or on-line at Crimestoppers-uk.org.

No personal details are taken, information is not traced or recorded and you will not go to court.
