Tributes to hanged schoolgirl, 13
Tributes have poured in for a teenage girl has been found hanged at her her Leyland home.
Aimee Critchley, 13, was discovered at around 5.15pm on Monday.
The All Hallows Catholic High School pupil was taken by ambulance to the Royal Preston Hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after 6.30pm.
A police investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death is now underway.
Specially trained police Family Liaison Officers and police staff are offering guidance and support to her distraught family.
Pupils at the Penwortham school have been told about the tragic news and they are also being offered specialist support from Lancashire County Council's Critical Incident Support Team.
Aimee's grandmother, Christine Critchley, paid tribute to the youngster.
She said: "Today our world is very dark.
"Yesterday we lost our precious grandaughter Aimee. She is now at peace. God bless her."
And tributes were also placed on internet networking sites.
Aimee's sister, Nathasja Louise Critchley, said: "RIP Aimee (Dib) You'll never be forgotten and you'll be sorely missed.. Love always lil sis xxxxxx."

All Hallows headteacher Chris Riding had the sad task of breaking the news of Aimee's death to staff and pupils on Tuesday morning.
He said: "The entire school community is devastated to hear the terribly sad news of the death of one of our pupils.
"Aimee was a Year 9 pupil and this morning we have had the sad task of breaking the news of her death to our staff, Aimee's friends and classmates.
"Aimee was a lovely, conscientious, caring pupil who was always keen to volunteer to help. We have nothing but happy memories of her.
"Our local priest Father Austin Griffin led staff and pupils in prayers this morning when we remembered Aimee.
Mr Riding said a letter was sent home with every pupil to parents on Tuesday evening.
It said: "All after school activities have been postponed as a mark of respect and we will keep you in touch with future events in the usual way.
"We will continue to deliver our lessons to the pupils in the best way possible and we will be discussing with them how best we can remember Aimee."
Year 10 pupils at the school are currently away on work experience but the school is offering counselling to any of them who need support.
Chief Insp Richard Robertshaw, of Lancashire police, said: "This is an extremely tragic event and our sympathies obviously go out to Aimee's family.
"We are currently investigating the circumstances that have led to Aimee's death, but at this stage it is unclear as to what triggered this tragedy.
"Staff trained in bereavement counselling and crisis support are assisting Aimee's family, friends and school staff during this difficult period."
Specially trained police Family Liaison Officers and police staff were continuing to offering guidance and support to her family.
