A total of five men have now been arrested on suspicion of murder, following the death of a teenager in Preston.
Police believe several people were involved in a “brutal attack” in Deepdale on 18-year-old Jonjo Highton.
Officers were called to St Stephen’s Road at about 11.20pm on Saturday, following reports that a man had been seriously injured.
Emergency services who attended found Jonjo in the street with serious wounds.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A murder investigation led by the Force Major Investigation Team is now underway, and yesterday, a 19-year-old man from Preston was arrested on suspicion of murder.
Four other men, two aged 21, a 22-year-old and a 26-year-old, all from Preston, have now also been arrested on suspicion of murder and all have been taken into custody.
A post mortem examination carried out on Sunday showed Jonjo died as a result of a wound to the neck, caused by a type of blade.
He had also suffered a number of other injuries, also caused by a blade.
