The young driver accused of pulling out in front of a coach and causing the death of two young girls was not driving dangerously, a court heard.

A jury were unaminous in their decision to find Jordan Clayton, 20, not guilty of death by dangerous driving following the crash in which Chorley students Jade Pickering and Tia Guye, both 16 and Runshaw College students, lost their lives.

There were emotional scenes after the jury announced their decision following two hours deliberation at Bolton Crown Court on Tuesday.

Clayton has already pleaded guilty to death by careless driving and will be sentenced on March 2.
