Schoolchildren in Leyland were given a fun insight into the world of numbers as part of a special maths week.

All of the school’s 247 pupils took part in activities, ranging from maths-based drama to songs, games and treasure hunts, and guest speakers came in to share their skills.

Year Three and Four students also worked together to make a giant tetrahedron, and classmates competed in an Apprentice-type mission with the Lancashire Business Enterprise Group. They had to make picture frames out of recycled materials after ‘buying’ the products, and worked to make a profit.
