The incident happened at around 3pm at Onsite on Marathon Place.

Thieves smashed a window at the building and removed a fire door using a crow bar.

This included hands free kits, an angle grinder, a nail gun, drills, and a circular saw.

The van was fitted with a tracker system which traced the vehicle to Manchester, where Greater Manchester Police tracked the signal down and the tracking system was found on the floor.
