LEYLAND-based streetrepairs.co.uk is running a second National Pothole day on Friday, January 15.
Owner of the website, Colin Mahoney, said the inaugral event last year was a great success and helped reduce the response time of local authorities to highways problems.
He said: “Reports of potholes increased dramatically with over 88 per cent of reports now relating directly to potholes and awareness is increasing nationally of the seriousness of the problems and potential dangers relating to the disrepair of our roads.”
The website was set up in 2013. It offers a free way for people to engage with councils over highways problems and also allows authorities to respond to the reporter.
