A long-established Leyland pub has reopened again after closing for a £100,00 revamp.
The Seven Stars on the corner of Leyland Lane and Fox Lane has recently been taken over by new landlord Roy Tattersall.
He said: “The pub’s regular customers are happy to see the place back open, and it’s also attracting a lot of new people through the door.
“I didn’t want the refurbishment to put the loyal customers off coming back, but it had been in quite a state for a long time, and something needed doing.”
He added: “I’ve been a regular at this pub myself for the past 22 years, and I’ve lived in Leyland all my life.
“I run a construction company, but I’d always thought about running a pub too, as something for me to enjoy doing for myself, so when this opportunity came up, I took it.”
A new soft lounge seating area has been created, and a light-bite menu has been introduced too.
