A teenage boy was left with a fractured cheekbone and a broken nose after being attacked by a gang of men in Leyland.
Police are appealing for information after the incident, which happened on Broadfield Drive, in Leyland, on Friday, July 5.
The victim, a 15-year-old boy from Leyland, was approached by the group who punched him in the back of the head, causing him to fall to the floor.
Once he fell, he was kicked in the head, causing the injuries.
PC Carl Matthews, from Leyland Police, described it as a ‘terrible ordeal’.
He said: “I would appeal to anyone who was in the area at the time, and who has information about this incident, to come forward and contact us.
“Understandably, the victim has been through a terrible ordeal and we need to find the people responsible. I hope the public can come forward and assist this investigation.”
The incident happened at around 2.10am.
