Leyland Cricket Club believe they are seeing the fruits of their hard work with their Junior Academy as at least one player from every age-group will be having trials for Lancashire.
The Fox Lane club has four players nominated to attend trials in the U11 age group – Hamza Khan, Sam Oldham, James Seward and Lloyd Tennant.
Meanwhile, there are two representatives from the U13 team - Tom Murray and Alex Williams and also another pair from the U14 sides - Ryan Thompson and Jake Peake.
Kurt Heaven has been selected for U12s while Matthew Bury and Liam Hurt were called up for the U15 team based on their performances for adult teams.
Chairman of the junior committee Julian Peake said: "The Junior Academy caters for people between seven and 17 and we field a number of teams.
"It is great to see the players going from the district side to having assessment for Lancashire."
Club development manager John Pallett said: "We are very proud of the achievements of the younger players from the club.
"We think the academy is going from strength to strength and we now have the situation where we have a conveyor belt of talent coming through.
"As a club we cannot afford to go out and buy big players so to have the academy bringing through players is great as they are going to be the lifeblood of this club."
John also believes the junior academy players have developed after the improvement of facilities at the club.
He said: "We are now putting more people through coaching courses at levels one and two and now have 17 qualified coaches with seven more on programmes.
"Also the addition of the nets which were opened in May has had a big impact as the young players can train on a safe pitch."
