Most footballers spend their time seeking the praise of the supporters and fans ,but Brig's new signing Anthony Murt already has his own Facebook group dedicated to him.
The former Burscough hit-man has the section where people can sign up to 'appreciate all the good and joy Anthony Murt brings to the world'.

But following his great scoring start to his Bamber Bridge career, which has seen him score twice in three games, he's hoping there could be a few more people signing up.

He said: "It was only meant to be a bit of fun amongst my friends because I am just here to get in the team and score some goals for the club and the fans.

"I just wanted to get some regular football as I wasn't really getting on with the manager at Burscough and I was told that Brig had put seven days notice on me so I wanted to join them.

"I knew Enty (Phil Entwistle) well and know what he can do. It is a great set-up and I am just here to score lots of goals and help the team do well."
