Pupils from Worden Sports College and Brownedge St Mary's Sports College took on each other in a year seven girls rugby league festival.
The aim of the festival was to introduce girls to the sport and also help them learn the basics of the game before going into the full physical contact.

Brownedge St Mary's reached the final against Tarleton High School but the Bamber Bridge school was edged out 3-2 in an extremely close match.

The event was organised by Jane Sheridan, the senior competition manager for South Ribble, and was attended by Neil Quinn from Leyland Warriors Rugby League Club, the Rugby Football League and several other players from the club.
