Bamber Bridge FC chairman Terry Gammans has heaped praise on the club's new business development manager for developing the off-field activities at Irongate.
Danny Abrams, pictured, took his position at the club in May to try to boost the club's coffers by attracting sponsorship from local businesses and generating functions.

Terry said: "Danny has made a great impact in his first quarter and has generated a significant amount of money into the club.

"It is nice to have someone who can generate money for the club whereas before it was done on a part-time basis.

"The clubhouse is in action more regularly and also had the recent soccer school."

Among Danny's achievements have been working with local businesses to have match balls sponsored and new signs around the club.

Terry said: "We have semi-professional players on the pitch doing a job so it is only right that off the pitch we have a professional operation."

Brig boss Phil Entwistle has got the club's chequebook out to invest in new players last week.

Ex-Blackburn Rovers and Accrington Stanley midfielder Steve Flitcroft has joined the ranks.

Meanwhile Enty believes Jamie Arendes will also boost his options in front of goal after being second top scorer in his Australian league last season.

Any local businesses interested in sponsorship activities at the club contact Danny on 01772 909690.
